School Life
Our students have a full and rich school day, from morning assembly and classroom learning and activities to sports, physical education and dormitory life.
Morning Assembly
Students attend morning assembly three times per week where there is singing, dancing and announcements.
Meals and Snacks
Students are served lunch each school day, eat their meals in the school dining shed and wash their own dishes. We serve eggs from the school’s chicken farm once a week. Other foods we serve include rice, beans, posho, matooke, groundnuts, fruit, chicken and beef. The school also operates a canteen where students may buy snacks during breaks in the day.
Dorm Life
Currently, there are 13 boys living in the boy’s dorm and 12 girls living in the girl’s dorm on campus, and there are 15 orphaned or abandoned girls staying with relatives outside the school grounds.
We are purchasing, renovating and furnishing a building to serve as a new girl’s dormitory. Once this is finished we will have enough space to house all the girls.
The school covers all costs for children who live in the dorms: education, medical support, food and lodging and more. We are looking for sponsors for each of these deserving children so that they may have every opportunity to succeed at Circle of Peace School and afterwards.
Sports & Physical Education
Students participate in physical education daily at Circle of Peace School.
The school is equipped with swings, a merry-go-round, and small areas for playing soccer and other games. Some students participate in monthly swimming lessons at a local pool.
Our school is grateful to donors who have supplied team uniforms and equipment to our several sports teams.
